Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.40 per hour. Responsibilities

Working as a Consumables Associate means you’re at the centre of the store’s daily operations. From greeting shoppers as they come in to ensuring products are correctly stocked, signed, and priced, your role supports both the customer experience and the overall efficiency of the store. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing on a regular basis:

• Greet all customers in a polite and friendly manner to create a welcoming shopping environment
• Assist customers by promoting products and services, locating merchandise, and helping them make purchase decisions
• Resolve customer issues and refer more complex concerns to management where appropriate
• Maintain salesfloor presentation by stocking and rotating merchandise, removing damaged or out-of-date goods, and setting up product displays
• Price and sign merchandise to ensure accurate and current labelling throughout the department
• Receive and stock merchandise from the backroom to the salesfloor, using equipment appropriately and completing required documentation
• Handle claims and returns properly, identify high-shrink items, and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Set and complete modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps, and apply product protection as required
