Assistant Team Leader – Dollarama – Calgary, AB

Dollarama is looking for an Assistant Team Leader to join their team in Calgary, Alberta. About the Role: Assistant Team Leader

As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, you’ll play an active part in both the day-to-day operations and the supervisory responsibilities that keep the store running at its best. You’ll assist with store operations, staff coordination, and ensure that presentation and safety standards are consistently upheld throughout the store.

This position also involves cash management, opening and closing duties, and participating in the training of new employees. You’ll contribute to a culture of teamwork while demonstrating strong leadership and a commitment to workplace safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Team Leader, you’ll handle a mix of operational tasks and supervisory duties across each shift. From managing stock and shipments to overseeing manager on duty responsibilities, this role keeps you engaged and accountable throughout the day.

• Assist the management team in overseeing store operations and coordinating staff
• Process daily shipments, including boxing and unboxing incoming product
• Stock shelves daily in compliance with Dollarama’s presentation standards
• Deliver strong customer service and resolve customer concerns effectively
• Uphold store safety and cleanliness standards through consistent compliance
• Conduct manager on duty tasks, including tracking breaks and entering attendance records
• Perform cash management and handle store opening and closing duties as required
• Participate in the employee training process to support new team members

Requirements / Skills

• Retail experience: approximately one (1) year of relevant experience in the retail industry
• Supervisory background: approximately one (1) year in a leadership or supervisory capacity
