About the Role: Asset Protection Representative

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of retail security every day — balancing deterrence, investigation, and collaboration across a busy store environment. Each responsibility contributes directly to creating a safe and secure shopping experience for both staff and customers.

  • Deter theft and fraud by maintaining a consistent, professional, and visible presence throughout the store
  • Conduct lawful detentions of suspected offenders in accordance with company procedures and Canadian law
  • Lead investigations — both internal and external — gathering and analyzing evidence to support loss prevention efforts
  • Collaborate with law enforcement when required to address criminal activity on company premises
  • Reduce shrink by partnering with store leadership to identify loss trends and roll out effective prevention strategies
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and all applicable provincial regulations
  • Adapt to a dynamic schedule and respond quickly to new challenges in a high-volume retail environment

Requirements / Skills

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard Licence is required, along with working knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada and Trespass to Property Act
