About the Role: Asset Protection Representative

As an Asset Protection Representative at Loblaw, your day-to-day work centres on maintaining a safe shopping environment by actively deterring theft and fraud, conducting investigations, and partnering with store leadership to reduce shrink. Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of retail loss prevention, balancing a visible deterrence presence with detailed investigative work. Your responsibilities span theft apprehension, evidence gathering, policy compliance, and cross-functional collaboration — all of which are central to protecting the business and the people in it.

  • Protect and deter theft, fraud, and policy violations by maintaining a professional, visible presence throughout the store
  • Apprehend offenders safely and lawfully, following all applicable company procedures and legal guidelines
  • Conduct investigations — both internal and external — gathering and analyzing evidence to support loss prevention efforts
  • Collaborate with law enforcement as required, ensuring proper escalation and documentation of incidents
  • Partner with store leadership to identify loss trends and develop effective shrink reduction strategies
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, security policies, and provincial regulations
  • Adapt quickly to a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule and evolving challenges

Requirements / Skills

  • Valid Provincial Security Guard Licence is required for this position
