An hourly band or a yearly salary range. Many hourly bands are split by level, and the gap between the lowest and the highest is wide. Ask which level the offer is for.
Cash and stock awards
Nearly every listing adds cash and stock awards on top of base pay, without saying how much. Ask what the award is worth before you compare offers.
Benefits from day one
Full-time employees are eligible for company-paid health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, an RRSP with employer match and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Ask how much the match is.
The listings also name an Employee Assistance Program, parental programs, Tesla product discounts, sick and vacation time and paid holidays.

Several afternoon-shift roles in manufacturing and collision add a shift premium, 10 percent where the listing gives a figure.
Tesla Job Requirements: Licences, Experience and Schedule
Two requirements keep coming back. Most listings ask for a valid driver’s licence, and many name the class: Class 5, G or G2. The store and delivery roles ask you to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
Service technician listings ask for an Automotive Service Technician licence or the wish to start an apprenticeship through provincial schooling. Several describe high-voltage repair work, in some cases once training is complete.
Sales roles in Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia need a motor vehicle salesperson licence, and Tesla Advisor listings ask for Microsoft Office and CRM tools. Several listings in Quebec ask for French and English.
Manager, supervisor and engineering listings ask for a degree or a set number of years of experience.

How to Compare a Tesla Job Offer: Salary, Stock and RRSP Match
Base pay is only one line of a Tesla offer. Two offers at the same hourly rate can be worth different amounts once the stock award and the RRSP match are counted, so get all three answers before you compare.
Start with the level: on many listings it decides which band you are in, and several say the level depends on experience and skills. Be ready to walk through yours.
The listings name two separate stock items: the cash and stock awards that come on top of base pay, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan in the benefits. Neither carries a figure, so ask about each one.
The insurance is company-paid: health, dental, vision, life and disability. When you compare Tesla with a job that leaves that coverage to you, count what the premiums would cost.
