About the Role: Sr Sales Strategy and Operations Manager

In this position, you’ll be a key contributor to the Segmentation and Planning team, designing and coordinating sales planning workflows from forward-looking strategy through to operational execution. You’ll build scalable mechanisms to support segmentation implementation, account assignment, and quota distribution processes, ensuring that Sales managers and leadership across the globe have what they need to operate efficiently.

Benefits and Salary

The base salary range for this position in Toronto, ON is $93,700 to $156,500 CAD annually. As part of Amazon’s total compensation package, additional elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs) may be included, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support health and well-being.

Responsibilities

This role sits at the core of Amazon Advertising’s global sales planning engine. You’ll be responsible for leading high-impact projects, resolving complex escalations, and building the operational infrastructure that keeps thousands of sellers focused and productive. Here’s a closer look at what the day-to-day work involves:

  • Lead projects designed to improve segmentation, planning, and operational process efficiency — including deep data analysis and collaboration with Finance, Sales AI, Sales Tech, and regional Sales leadership.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination to deliver results on predefined timelines, mapping and managing interdependencies and risks across planning cycles.
  • Support escalation management by investigating, managing, and resolving complex, high-impact problems around data and processes that affect Sales teams.
  • Identify and close process gaps by analyzing existing workflows and developing simple, scalable solutions to difficult operational challenges.
  • Gather and document business requirements from Sales customers and stakeholders, propose solutions, evaluate feasibility, and collaborate with Product and Science teams to prioritize features.
  • Project-manage multiple workflows across planning milestones, communicating complex analytical findings clearly in both written and verbal formats for a range of audiences.

Requirements / Skills

  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies — or equivalent operational experience.
  • Salesforce or BI tool proficiency is a strong asset (preferred).
  • Experience presenting to senior leadership with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights (preferred).
