Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and deploy highly scalable software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research scientists and data scientists, to drive innovative projects.
- Lead design discussions, code reviews, and mentorship of junior engineers.
- Maintain high standards for operational excellence, fault tolerance, and security.
- Prototype and test new features, both in simulation and with live robotic equipment.
Basic Qualifications
Amazon requires the following basic qualifications for the Software Development Engineer role:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, focusing on reliability and scalability.
- Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
Amazon prefers candidates who also possess the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with full software development lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control management).
