What Does a Service Technician Do at Tesla?

As a Service Technician, you’ll play a vital role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Tesla vehicles. From performing advanced diagnostics to providing feedback to Tesla’s design and engineering teams, your contributions will help ensure the highest quality products and services for Tesla customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform basic and advanced diagnostic and repair work on Tesla’s product line, including high-voltage systems after training.
• Process Improvement: Provide feedback to Tesla’s design and engineering teams to continuously improve repair procedures and products.
• Documentation: Consistently and concisely detail and document all repair activities.
• Collaboration: Partner with other teams to ensure vehicles meet Tesla’s high-quality standards, including cleaning and detailing vehicles when needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and request replacements for shop equipment as necessary.

What You’ll Bring

• Certification: Automotive Service Technician License or a desire to become a Technician Apprentice through provincial training.
• Technical Skills: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, with a focus on safety and quality.
• Preferred Qualifications: Section 609 Refrigerant handling certification.
• Language Skills: Bilingual in French and English (French as mother tongue or equivalent proficiency).
• Driving Requirements: Valid Class 5, G, or G2 driver’s license for Canada with an acceptable driving record.
