About the Role: Package Handler Trainer

As a Package Handler Trainer at FedEx Canada, your primary responsibility is to support the movement of freight within and between facilities while actively training new and existing Package Handlers on best practices. Responsibilities

The Package Handler Trainer plays a dual role on the floor — actively participating in freight operations while also coaching the team on safe and efficient practices. Every shift contributes directly to the smooth flow of packages through FedEx’s Edmonton facility.

  • Load and unload freight from vehicles and conveyor systems safely and efficiently
  • Scan and sort packages accurately to ensure correct routing within the facility
  • Train Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques
  • Transport freight within and between facilities as required
  • Enforce safe handling procedures to minimize risk of injury or damage

Requirements / Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
  • Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler (preferred)
  • Familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations (preferred)
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to train and communicate effectively with team members
  • Physical ability to lift 70 lbs and manoeuvre packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
  • Valid G licence with a good driving record (maximum two violations/accidents in last 24 months)
  • Ability to work varying shifts based on business needs
