About the Role: Assistant Team Leader
As an Assistant Team Leader at Dollarama, you’ll take an active role in supporting store management with everything from staff supervision and scheduling to cash management and opening or closing duties. You’ll also be responsible for maintaining product presentation standards on the sales floor and ensuring daily shipments are received and stocked efficiently.
This position also involves participating in employee training, contributing to a safe and clean store environment, and stepping in as manager on duty when needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities are essential to succeeding in this role.

Responsibilities
The Assistant Team Leader role at Dollarama covers a wide range of daily tasks that keep the store running efficiently. From supporting management with operations to jumping in on the floor to help customers and stock shelves, you’ll be an essential part of the team every single shift.
- Assist management with day-to-day store operations and staff coordination
- Receive and process daily shipments, including boxing and unboxing merchandise
- Stock shelves daily in compliance with Dollarama’s product presentation standards
- Deliver customer service and handle customer concerns in a professional manner
- Uphold safety and cleanliness standards throughout the store at all times
- Perform manager-on-duty tasks, including tracking attendance and ensuring breaks are taken
- Manage cash and carry out store opening and closing procedures as required
- Participate in training new employees and supporting their onboarding
Requirements / Skills

- Approximately one year of retail experience in a relevant industry setting
