Amazon’s Operations workflow spans three stages — first mile (product storage and order readiness), middle mile (order transport), and last mile (final delivery to customers). Benefits and Salary

Amazon offers a competitive base salary for this role ranging from $75,000 to $105,000 CAD annually for the Mississauga location, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and other factors. The total compensation package may also include sign-on payments and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Responsibilities

As an Area Manager II at Amazon YYZ1, your daily work centres on leading your team with purpose while driving measurable outcomes in safety, quality, and productivity. You’ll be expected to think both operationally and strategically — coaching associates one moment, reviewing department-wide metrics the next.   • Drive process improvements that could impact 200+ associates across multiple workflows
  • Balance competing priorities while maintaining high standards of associate engagement and customer satisfaction
  • Work in a physical environment that includes lifting up to 49 lbs, standing for up to 12 hours, and adapting to variable noise levels and temperatures

Requirements / Skills

Amazon is looking for experienced people leaders who are comfortable making decisions in a complex, high-volume environment. The ideal candidate brings a track record of performance management, a passion for developing others, and ideally some familiarity with process improvement methodologies. Both the basic and preferred qualifications are outlined below.

  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience in a team leadership capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon FTE (blue badge) experience
  • Flexible availability including weekends, nights, and holidays as business needs require
  • Experience managing large teams (50+ members) is a strong asset
  • Process improvement knowledge — Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen experience is preferred
  • Background in relevant industries such as logistics, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, or customer service environments is an advantage
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics or a related field is preferred
