Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a dynamic Account Executive to drive the adoption of AWS among large enterprise customers in Central Canada. As the Enterprise Acquisition (Greenfield) Account Executive, you will lead a team focused on expanding the customer base in the region. This role offers the opportunity to build long-term strategic relationships with some of Canada’s largest companies across industries like Energy, Agriculture, Telecom, and Financial Services.

About the Role

As an Account Executive for Enterprise Acquisition in Central Canada, you will be responsible for building partnerships with Greenfield customers, driving AWS platform adoption, and managing high-value customer acquisitions. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with partners to expand AWS’s reach and facilitate product adoption, while managing customer-facing negotiations and establishing long-term relationships with CxO/VP-level stakeholders.

This position requires strong communication and leadership skills, a capacity for mentoring and supporting your team, and a self-starter attitude for executing a comprehensive sales plan. Additionally, you will be expected to travel moderately to meet clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share within Central Canada, meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue targets.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional plan for customer engagement and go-to-market strategies.
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and coach individual team members on opportunity development.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to extend AWS reach and drive adoption.
  • Manage contract negotiations with customers and develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts at the CxO/VP level.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and success.
  • Expect moderate travel to meet with clients in the region.

Basic Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for the Account Executive role:

  • 6+ years of full sales cycle experience in technology sales, business development, or equivalent roles.
  • 5+ years of experience selling enterprise software, networking, infrastructure, managed hosting services, or cloud computing services.
  • Proven experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level.

Preferred Qualifications

The following qualifications are preferred for this role:

  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Background in engineering, computer science, or MIS.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with technology platform sales and an understanding of cloud services and government IT.
