Amazon MQ is a managed AWS service for Apache ActiveMQ and RabbitMQ that streamlines the setup, operation, and management of message brokers on AWS. We make it easier for developers to build applications utilizing the rich features of open-source message brokers. As a Software Development Engineer with Amazon MQ, you’ll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will drive system architecture, influence the team’s roadmap, and implement best practices to deliver high-quality products. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed open-source message broker systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers and open-source project maintainers to define team strategies and roadmaps.
- Drive the system architecture and best practices to deliver high-quality products.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, and testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Compensation & Benefits
Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- Base salary ranging from $114,800 to $191,800/year, depending on experience and location.
