Key Responsibilities

  • Process customs clearance and confirm declarations for shipments.
  • Collect supplementary documentation from customers, drivers, and customs offices.
  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations and other government requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies in customer profiles and assist in resolving issues.
  • Answer standard inquiries and requests from customers and internal teams.

Basic Qualifications

UPS requires the following basic qualifications for the Brokerage Representative II role:

  • High School Diploma.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in customs operations.
  • Knowledge of Customs operations, laws, regulations, and the HS system.
  • Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) Certification (recommended).

Preferred Qualifications

UPS prefers candidates who also possess the following qualifications:

  • Bilingualism (required in Quebec).
  • Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with the Canada-US-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) and permit process.
