Job Description

This senior position serves as the engineering subject matter expert for original process development, implementation, training, and deployment for large-scale new customer projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Holding others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
  • Recommending adjustments to ensure solutions incorporate an accurate scope of work.
  • Coordinating with other internal business groups on multiple projects to develop effective solutions.
  • Performing cost-benefit analyses to ensure the effective use of UPS resources and maximum return on investment.
  • Creating functional design requirements to define how the application will perform.
  • Assisting with the validation of planned versus actual task completion to determine project impacts.
  • Supervising project lifecycles, including scope, resources, schedule, design, and deployment.
  • Developing and maintaining work measurements for all operations to support current operating plans.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience.
  • Experience in operations research, work measurement, and process improvement.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis and information system modeling.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience in supervising project lifecycles.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at our Louisville, Kentucky facility.
