Utility Field Service Electrician, Commercial – Hamilton, ON – $50/hour

About the Role: Field Service Electrician

As a Utility Field Service Electrician, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional service and ensure optimal performance of Tesla’s commercial energy solutions.

Your expertise in electrical trades and troubleshooting will directly impact the reliability and functionality of Tesla’s energy products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and utility battery energy storage systems to maintain warranty coverage.
• Respond to corrective maintenance cases for Tesla’s energy storage products, including Powerpacks and Megapacks.
• Collaborate with the Operations Engineering Systems Reliability team to resolve technical issues.
• Document findings and provide required reports for commercial operations and maintenance contracts.
• Ensure all tools, equipment, and company property are well-maintained.
• Maintain exceptional performance and attend advanced inverter training programs.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician card with a valid Red Seal endorsement.
• Experience troubleshooting power electronics and low voltage controls.
• Familiarity with power/hand tools, electrical equipment, and multimeters.
• Ability to travel extensively, work weekends or overtime as needed, and stay overnight for assignments.
• Proficiency with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and CSA Z462 practices.
• Previous experience with solar PV systems, battery storage, or EV charging stations preferred.
