Overview of the Role: Senior Partner Development Manager

As a National Partner Development Manager managing a top AWS Consulting Partner, you will play a key role in driving the strategic direction and success of these partnerships. Your efforts will focus on building mindshare and increasing the adoption of AWS cloud services.

You will collaborate closely with internal teams including Partner Solution Architects (PSA), Partner Marketing Managers (PMM), and Partner Development Managers (PDM) to empower and enable our partners. By developing and executing go-to-market strategies for North America, you will help bring cutting-edge, business-impacting solutions to customers, driving customer success and exponential growth on the AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities

As the Sr. Partner Development Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with the partner’s leadership team to develop revenue and growth plans for North America.
  • Integrate with AWS Sales and Professional Services to drive joint sales engagements between AWS and partners.
  • Engage the partner’s field sales organization, channels, and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for AWS.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies and business development plans for key markets with assigned partners, ensuring alignment with AWS strategy.
  • Identify target customer segments and industry verticals with joint value propositions for AWS solutions.
  • Ensure that partners have the technical resources and skills necessary to deliver AWS services and drive customer success.
  • Provide partner feedback to internal AWS product teams to help guide future product developments and enhancements.
  • Communicate partner capabilities and successes to AWS field sales, solutions architects, and business development teams.
  • Prepare and present business reviews to AWS senior management, highlighting progress and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Support complex contract negotiations, serving as a liaison to the AWS legal team.
  • Collaborate with AWS Partner Solution Architects to define and build go-to-market solutions utilizing AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

To be considered for the Sr. Partner Development Manager role, candidates must meet the following basic qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements.
  • 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
