About the Role: Data Engineer II

As a Data Engineer II in AWS Sustainability Technology, you will collaborate with product and software development teams to create efficient data systems that simplify how sustainability models are shared with customers. This position is critical to managing the public Customer Carbon Footprint Tool, which provides AWS customers with visibility into their environmental impact.

You will also lead the development of ETL pipelines and data warehouses, ensuring that new models are seamlessly integrated while maintaining transparency in the modeling process. As a key member of the team, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the vision and priorities of AWS’s sustainability tools.

Responsibilities of a Data Engineer II

• Design and implement scalable ETL pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to build data systems for customer-facing sustainability metrics.
• Manage and enhance data modeling and warehousing systems.
• Ensure high standards for data accuracy and fault tolerance.
