Assistant Manager – Amazon Retail LLC – Roseville, CA – $47,500 to $75,000/year
This role is required to be in person at a grocery location in the Greater Roseville area.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager who can bring Amazon’s customer obsession to life in a grocery environment. You will direct day-to-day store operations and lead a team of engaged grocery associates to deliver a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for customers.
You will play a vital role in maintaining a vibrant store culture based on customer obsession, trust, respect, continuous learning, safety, and fun.

Role of the Assistant Manager
As an Assistant Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manager on Duty: Oversee the store operations, ensuring a positive customer and employee experience.
- Team Management: Lead a team of associates, manage performance, provide feedback, and support career development.
- Delegation and Execution: Drive results by effectively delegating tasks and executing standard operating procedures.
- Engagement and Culture: Foster a culture of engagement by listening to feedback and implementing solutions to improve store performance and culture.
- Safety and Security: Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for employees, customers, and products.
- Physical Requirements: Work in a physical environment, lift up to 49 pounds, and be on your feet for a shift.
- Flexibility: Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a customer-facing retail, hospitality, or grocery environment, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience, or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- 2+ years of customer-facing grocery industry experience.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to use data and metrics to implement effective solutions.
- Success in problem-solving and delivering results.
- Proven ability to attract, hire, and develop high-performing teams.
- Passion for Amazon and commitment to delighting customers.
Working Conditions
This role is based in Roseville, CA, and requires in-person work at a grocery location. You must be comfortable working in a physical environment and have the ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand for the duration of a shift. Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays is required.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay for this position ranges from $47,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $75,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including location, knowledge, skills, and experience.
