As a Stock Unloader Department Manager, you will oversee the smooth flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor. You’ll coordinate your team to handle unloading, sorting, and stocking tasks efficiently while maintaining a clean and hazard-free workspace.

With responsibilities ranging from receiving trailers to maintaining cold chain standards for refrigerated goods, this role requires a proactive approach to planning and execution. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor and guide associates, creating a culture of teamwork and excellence.

Responsibilities of a Stock Unloader Department Manager

• Coordinate and supervise associates in receiving and processing merchandise to ensure smooth operations.
• Unload trailers, sort general merchandise, and handle live unloading of other goods.
• Delegate tasks and follow up on stocking, product protection (e.g., Spider Wire), and binning overstock merchandise.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free work environment by adhering to company policies.
• Reset the receiving area for efficient processing and secure displays and fixtures on the sales floor.
• Provide training, coaching, and feedback to associates while acting as team lead.
• Ensure cold chain protocols are maintained for refrigerated and frozen goods.
