Role of the Associate, Software Engineering
As an Associate, your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and Enhance Software Solutions: Design and implement high-quality, scalable technology solutions leveraging both internal and open-source services.
- Full SDLC Involvement: Assist in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
- Collaboration and Innovation: Work with internal teams to develop solution designs and identify new external technologies to transform our financial platforms.
- Testing and Deployment: Design, implement, and maintain robust testing suites to ensure safe, complete, and scalable solutions across various business lines.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in user story refinement, unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to drive continuous improvements in software quality.
Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field such as Data Science and one (1) year of experience in a related role OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field such as Data Science and three (3) years of experience in a related role.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and production support.
- Experience building multi-threaded and multi-process service-oriented Python enterprise applications within a Unix environment.
- Proficiency in programming technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
- Experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS) such as Sybase or Oracle.
- Experience with micro-services architecture design and development, including REST, Java, Spring, or other back-end technologies.
- Proficiency in database query languages, including SQL or NoSQL technologies such as MongoDB.
Compensation & Benefits
The expected annual base salary for this position in New York, NY is $145,000 – $186,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
