Area Manager – Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC – Cambridge, ON
Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC is seeking a full-time Area Manager to join our Fulfillment & Operations Management team in Cambridge, ON. In this role, you will lead a team of hourly workforce and will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction by managing all aspects of shift performance.
This position focuses on maintaining operational excellence in our three-stage workflow (First mile, Middle mile, and Last mile), ensuring that customer orders are delivered on time and in the right condition. You will also collaborate with support teams to achieve business objectives and foster a positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities for the Area Manager Role
As an Area Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Support, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly associates to achieve performance goals.
- Manage safety, quality, and productivity across shifts while ensuring customer delivery promises are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources to meet business objectives.
- Ensure physical fitness to lift up to 49 pounds, perform frequent physical activities (squatting, bending, pushing, pulling), and work on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift.
- Work in dynamic environments where noise levels and temperatures vary, including outdoor areas during different weather conditions.
Minimum Qualifications for the Area Manager Role
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- 2+ years of employee management and performance management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications for the Area Manager Role
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
