AWS Security is looking for an Application Security Engineer to help validate that our services, applications, and websites are designed and implemented to the highest security standards. You will analyze the security of applications, discover and address security issues, build security automation, and quickly react to new threat scenarios. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct application security reviews to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Perform mobile security reviews and ensure secure architecture design.
  • Develop threat models and security tools to automate security processes.
  • Provide security training and outreach to internal development teams.
  • Create security guidance documentation and improve security metrics delivery.
  • Assist with recruiting activities and administrative tasks.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of programming experience in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in threat modeling, secure coding, identity management, software development, or network security.
  • Experience with AWS products and services.
  • Programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, and C++.

Compensation & Benefits

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including:

  • Base salary ranging from $137,800 to $230,100/year depending on experience and location.
  • Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of a total package.
