About the Position: Food Service Assistant – Food Court

As a Food Service Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring Costco members have a positive dining experience. From preparing delicious meals to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, your contributions will enhance the overall Costco experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and bake hot food items such as pizzas, steam hot dogs, and operate deep fryers. Slice and serve baked goods to customers.
• Customer Service: Take orders, collect payments, make change, and assemble orders for members. Provide prompt and courteous service.
• Beverage and Dessert Preparation: Dispense drinks and desserts, including frozen yogurt, lattes, and smoothies. Clean and refill dispensing machines as needed.
• Maintain Dining Area: Clean and sanitize tables, floors, and self-serve condiment areas. Empty trash and ensure the eating area is tidy.
• Sanitation: Clean and sanitize work surfaces, machines, utensils, and counters. Follow food safety guidelines and health codes.
• Stocking Supplies: Refill shelves, coolers, and freezers with ingredients. Stage supplies in preparation areas while adhering to product rotation and expiration dates.

What You’ll Bring

While no prior experience is required, the following qualifications and traits are recommended:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Safety: Food Safety Certification – Level 1 is required on the first day in the position.
• Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide friendly and prompt service to Costco members.
• Team Player: Willingness to assist in other areas of the warehouse when needed.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and adherence to health and safety guidelines.
