This is an indeterminate position based at the CNSC’s Head Office in Ottawa with a salary range of $106,775.00 – $148,250.00 per year. As part of our flexible work practices, this role can also be performed remotely from anywhere in Canada. About the Role

As a Team Leader in the Indigenous and Stakeholder Relations Division, you will lead a team responsible for providing strategic guidance on programs, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and Indigenous consultation. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the development, modernization, and implementation of cross-sectoral support on programs, policies, stakeholder engagement, and funding programs.
  • Represent CNSC at tribunal proceedings related to environmental assessments, licensing, or Indigenous policy initiatives.
  • Participate in interdepartmental policy development relating to Indigenous issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, federal departments, private sectors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review briefing notes, reports, and presentation materials.
  • Provide strategic analysis and advice to CNSC senior management and officials.

Requirements

Education: A university degree in social sciences, humanities, public administration, environmental studies, communications, public relations, applied science, or a combination of education, experience, and job knowledge.

Experience:

  • Consulting and engaging with Indigenous Nations and communities.
  • Writing reports, recommendations, and briefing materials for senior management.
  • Engaging with stakeholders, government departments, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Policy development, project management, and strategic analysis.
  • Leading projects with multiple stakeholders and representing an organization in various settings.
  • Managing and supervising a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge: Understanding CNSC’s mandate, key legislation, Indigenous consultation guidelines, and government decision-making processes.
