About the Role
As a Casual Package Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in delivering packages to homes and businesses. You will be expected to lift packages weighing up to 70 lbs, navigate various weather conditions, and interact with customers to provide top-tier service. UPS will supply a uniform, and adherence to the company’s appearance guidelines is mandatory.
This full-time role involves working 8-9.5 hours per day, with shifts that may vary based on business needs. Workdays can be Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday. You’ll be on the front lines, driving and delivering packages, ensuring customers receive what they need, when they need it.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive UPS delivery vehicles to safely and promptly transport packages to customer locations.
- Handle packages of various sizes, up to 70 lbs.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining professionalism.
- Comply with traffic laws, safety standards, and UPS’s uniform and appearance guidelines.
- Adapt to different weather conditions and changing delivery schedules.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Hold a valid driver’s license (no CDL required).
- Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs and working in varying weather conditions.
- Pass the DOT physical examination.
- Comply with UPS appearance and uniform standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or customer service roles.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
