Your primary responsibility will be to deliver friendly and efficient service, making customers feel welcomed and informed about their grocery choices. You will be the face of Amazon Fresh, helping customers find what they need and ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
About the Role
As an Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate, you will work up to 8-hour shifts, engaging in a wide variety of tasks based on store needs. Responsibilities include greeting customers, providing product recommendations, handling checkout operations, processing returns, preparing fresh food items, and managing inventory. During your training period, some shifts may require up to 40 hours per week.
Successful candidates are action-oriented, flexible problem solvers with great communication skills. You will be on your feet and interacting with customers, ensuring they receive the best possible service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers, engage in friendly conversations, and assist with their shopping needs.
- Provide product recommendations and information to help customers make decisions.
- Operate cash registers and assist customers in self-service checkout lanes.
- Process in-store and Amazon.com returns.
- Prepare fresh food items such as cold salads, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, and sandwiches.
- Stock shelves, set up merchandise displays, and maintain a clean sales floor.
- Manage inventory, unload product deliveries, and organize the stockroom.
- Pick items to fulfill customer grocery orders for pickup and delivery.

Basic Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to understand and perform job duties safely in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of customer service experience.
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift up to 49 lbs and stand/walk for up to 8 hours during shifts. Shifts are between 4 a.m. and 12 a.m., and flexibility in shift availability is required.
