Data Center Technician III, Data Center Operations – Amazon – Balzac, AB
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is rapidly expanding, and we’re seeking a Data Center Technician III to join our Infrastructure Operations team. This role involves ensuring data center availability and reliability, performing hardware and network diagnostics, and participating in an on-call rotation.
You’ll be responsible for physical repairs, equipment installation, and creating innovative solutions. The position demands excellent prioritization, organization, and communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 operational environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite coverage in shifts and participate in on-call rotations.
- Respond to high-severity events within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Participate in data center power and cooling events.
- Perform break-fix on servers and network devices.
- Troubleshoot network connections and build relationships with data center teams.
- Interact with third-party vendors and contractors.
- Continuously seek ways to improve processes and systems.
- Contribute to the development of team members.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- 1+ years of experience in computer networking.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution.
- Ability to operate efficiently under pressure.
Compensation & Benefits
Amazon offers a competitive salary, with the base salary for this position ranging from $89,700/year up to $149,800/year. The package includes equity, sign-on payments, and a full range of benefits to support your career growth and personal well-being.
Working Conditions
This role is based in Balzac, AB, with a requirement to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. You’ll be part of a fast-paced, innovative environment, with continuous opportunities for learning and career advancement.
