Amazon invites motivated individuals to join its Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Internship Program for Summer 2025. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in ensuring safety standards in our Network Distribution Centers across Canada. As a WHS Specialist Intern, you will gain deep insights into Amazon’s safety practices, contribute to safety-related projects, and help enhance workplace well-being.

About the Role: Health and Safety Specialist Intern
In this full-time internship, you will learn the fundamentals of health and safety in one of the world’s most innovative companies. Through a mix of practical projects, technical training, and leadership exposure, you’ll help enhance Amazon’s safety culture across the first mile, middle mile, and last mile fulfillment processes.

Key Responsibilities
As a WHS Specialist Intern, you’ll:
- Collaborate with WHS teams to identify and implement safety improvements.
- Research safety trends, interpret data, and present findings to senior leadership.
- Participate in the design and improvement of safety programs, initiatives, and processes.
- Gain exposure to other teams such as Operations, Engineering, and Transportation to understand the full fulfillment lifecycle.
- Develop professional skills and expand your network through Amazon WHS activities.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with expected graduation between December 2025 and August 2026.
Preferred Skills
- Degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, or related fields.
- Knowledge of Canadian OHS Provincial Laws.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Visio, and Outlook).
- Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or logistics environments is a plus.

This is an on-site role with placements across Amazon’s facilities, including:
- Cambridge, ON
- Delta, BC
- Nisku, AB
- Acheson, AB
Amazon’s recruiting team will prioritize placements based on business needs, but efforts will be made to accommodate your location preferences.
Compensation
- Hourly pay ranges from $28.37 to $40.38, based on experience and location.
- Additional benefits may include equity, sign-on payments, and medical support.
