About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon, you will lead a team within the fulfillment network, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled on time and with the highest quality. You will be directly responsible for team performance, leading large projects, driving process improvements, and motivating your workforce to achieve operational excellence.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with departments such as Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources to develop and implement productivity plans that align with Amazon’s standards and goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce.
  • Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact.
  • Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews and data analysis.
  • Collaborate with teams across departments to meet business objectives.
  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards for your team.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 12 hours, and work in variable weather conditions.
  • Work in a noisy environment and climb/descend stairs as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques.
  • Experience managing a team of 2+ salaried employees and 70+ indirect employees.
  • Experience with Lean process, Kaizen, and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
  • Experience in military, manufacturing, biotech, logistics, or distribution environments.
