About the Role: Maintenance/Cleaner
As a Maintenance/Cleaner at Tim Hortons Halifax, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the entire restaurant — from front-of-house to restrooms and the exterior grounds — meets the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll carry out a broad range of cleaning and facility maintenance tasks to ensure the restaurant remains safe, sanitary, and inviting at all times. Your day-to-day work covers both the indoor and outdoor areas of the location, making your contribution essential to the overall guest and team experience.
- General Cleaning: Dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors and carpets, and wiping down surfaces throughout the restaurant
- Bathroom Maintenance: Disinfecting and sanitizing restrooms, replacing supplies such as toilet paper and hand towels, and cleaning all fixtures
- Waste Disposal: Emptying trash, cardboard, and recycling bins on a regular basis
- Surface Cleaning: Cleaning windows, doors, tables, chairs, and other surfaces to maintain a polished appearance
- Health & Safety Compliance: Following all health and safety procedures, using appropriate cleaning products, and ensuring a hygienic environment at all times
- Exterior Upkeep: Sweeping, shovelling, raking, and collecting garbage outside the premises — keeping the property safe and tidy in all weather
- Supply Restocking: Assisting with restocking supplies and helping unload deliveries as needed
- Additional Duties: Taking on any other responsibilities assigned by management to support the smooth running of the restaurant
