About the Role: General Merchandise Associate
In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and zoning the general merchandise area, assisting with stocking, and providing exemplary customer service. You’ll cover assigned sections of the salesfloor, move feature merchandise to its modular home, and support the front end and other areas of the store as needed. It’s a dynamic, hands-on position that keeps you active and engaged throughout every shift.
Beyond the day-to-day tasks, you’ll contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment by following company policies and procedures — including completing safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure. The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $15.50/hour, with the actual rate determined based on relevant experience. Responsibilities
Every day as a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Yorkton brings a mix of customer interaction and hands-on store tasks. From stocking shelves to helping a customer track down a product, your contributions keep the store looking great and operating at its best.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in a polite and friendly manner, promoting products and services, and helping shoppers make informed purchase decisions

- Support front end coverage and communicate with fellow associates to maintain proper floor coverage at all times
