Entry Level Staffing Administrator – Amazon – Bakersfield, CA (USA) – $31.01/hr

The Workforce Staffing team owns hiring across multiple locations for entry-level warehouse and fulfillment associate roles. We are looking for exceptionally talented, bright, and driven individuals to help build the future Amazon talent pipeline. This Seasonal role has an estimated start date of ASAP, with an estimated end date of December 28, 2024. As a Seasonal flex-time, non-exempt Staffing Administrator, you will coordinate activities to support high-volume hiring efforts in a fast-paced culture.
About the Role
As a Staffing Administrator, you will serve as the first face of Amazon to candidates, ensuring they move smoothly through the new hire process. You will work up to 19 hours per week with a flexible schedule that may include nights and weekends based on business needs.
Your responsibilities will include setting up hiring events, helping candidates complete the application process, reviewing work authorization documentation, and administering drug screenings. This role requires travel to multiple sites according to business needs.
Successful candidates will be approachable, action-oriented, and flexible problem solvers with exceptional attention to detail. You will help prepare new associates for a successful Day 1 at Amazon while maintaining a focus on customer obsession.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, execute, and break down hiring events based on labor projections.
- Assist candidates through the hiring process, including application completion and document reviews.
- Utilize the Applicant Tracking System to move candidates through the process efficiently.
- Meet critical deadlines for background screenings and compliance for work authorization.
- Participate in candidate generation activities, such as community fairs and job fairs.
- Maintain confidentiality with candidates’ personal information and sensitive topics.
- Travel locally up to 75% to support events in your assigned geographical area.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6+ months of experience in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment, such as operations, administrative support, customer service, retail, or staffing.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and ability to learn multiple platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Windows, Word, Excel, MyTime (Kronos), and PowerPoint.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1+ years of experience in a customer-oriented environment.
- Intermediate Microsoft Word and Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-lookups.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and data analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits
