Position Overview: Emerging Store Manager – Walmart
As an Emerging Store Manager at Walmart, you will lead your team to drive store performance and operational excellence. Your key responsibilities include hiring, training, and mentoring associates to ensure they provide exceptional customer service while meeting sales and operational targets. Key Responsibilities
As an Emerging Store Manager at Walmart, your key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising and developing management and hourly associates by providing recognition, assigning duties, evaluating performance, and promoting diversity awareness.
- Upholding Walmart’s Open Door Policy by meeting with associates, addressing concerns, and proactively resolving issues.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies by holding associates and managers accountable, overseeing safety, asset protection, and operational reviews.
- Engaging with the community by participating in outreach programs, establishing relationships with local organizations, and championing Walmart-sponsored initiatives.
- Driving the financial performance of the store by leading the management team in achieving sales and profit goals, controlling expenses, and analyzing economic trends for budget forecasting.
- Modeling and enforcing customer service standards by guiding associates in proper service techniques to resolve customer issues within company guidelines.
- Managing store operations by communicating with associates and managers about store direction, merchandising, and company initiatives.

Basic Qualifications
The following qualifications are required for the Emerging Store Manager role:
- 2+ years of general management experience, including financial accountability.
- 2+ years of experience supervising 20 or more associates, with responsibility for performance management, hiring, and firing.
- Completion of all required trainings and assessments for the role.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor of Science in Business Management or related fields, and experience managing 50 or more associates. Experience running fresh or dry grocery areas is also a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $100,000.00, with additional performance-based bonuses. Additional compensation may also be provided based on location, sales volume, and complex external factors. Benefits include:
