Dollarama is seeking a detail-oriented Clerk, Import to support end-to-end international shipments—from vendor readiness and consolidation through dispatch—to keep merchandise flowing to stores on time and cost-effectively.
Reporting to the Manager, Import, you’ll coordinate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers, validate loading plans, and maintain accurate data in SAP. If you thrive in fast-paced logistics environments and love turning moving parts into smooth operations, this role is for you.
About the Role
As a Consolidation Clerk, you’ll manage day-to-day import milestones: confirming vendor readiness, arranging shipments, and ensuring containers are efficiently loaded. You’ll analyze and revise loading plans, track delays, and escalate rush items (e.g., Seasonal and Low Stock) to protect in-stock levels.
Success in this role requires sharp attention to detail, disciplined follow-through, and the ability to juggle high volume while communicating clearly with multiple stakeholders across time zones.
Key Accountabilities
- Contact overseas suppliers to confirm on-time readiness and documentation.
- Arrange international shipments (FCL/LCL) to meet timelines and optimize cost; ensure full container utilization.
- Coordinate daily with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers to keep moves on schedule through dispatch.
- Validate vendor loading plans; consolidate LCL into containers; revise plans post-loading as required.
- Chase late shipments and delayed orders; expedite Seasonal and Low Stock items.
- Check for unused cube; hold vendors accountable per company rules; verify shipping mark dimensions.
- Enter and maintain shipment data in SAP/ERP; ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support the team with additional import/logistics tasks as assigned.

Requirements
- College Diploma (AEC) in Transportation/Logistics or related field.
- 1–2 years experience in import/export or logistics.

- Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel required); SAP experience is an asset.
