Area Manager II – Amazon – St. Thomas, ON
Amazon Canada is on the lookout for a driven and experienced Area Manager II to join their operations team in St. Thomas, Ontario. As one of the world’s most dynamic logistics networks, Amazon Fulfillment is where leadership meets impact — and this role puts you right at the heart of it. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, love leading people, and take pride in delivering results, this opportunity is worth your attention.
In this position, you’ll be responsible for leading hourly warehouse associates, keeping operations running smoothly across safety, quality, productivity, and delivery performance. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional support teams and act as a key connector between your team and Amazon’s commitment to the customer experience — day in, day out.
About the Role: Area Manager II
As an Area Manager II at Amazon, you’ll be embedded within the company’s world-class fulfillment and distribution network, which handles millions of packages daily across Canada. Your primary mandate is to manage, mentor, and motivate a team of hourly employees during their shifts, ensuring the highest standards of safety, attendance, quality, and performance are consistently met. Amazon’s operations are divided into three key components — first mile, middle mile, and last mile — and you’ll play a critical role in ensuring each stage flows seamlessly to get orders into customers’ hands on time.
This isn’t a desk job. You’ll be actively on the floor, engaging with your team, resolving operational challenges, and collaborating with departments like Safety, Engineering, Human Resources, Loss Prevention, and Quality Assurance. The environment is physically demanding — expect variable temperatures, varying noise levels, and the need to lift up to 49 pounds and stand or walk for up to 12 hours per shift. A valid driver’s licence is required, and flexibility around weekends, evenings, and holidays is part of the role.
