Amazon offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,200 to $83,000 CAD for this Calgary-based role. As a total compensation company, your package may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Beyond base pay, Amazon provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and AD&D), a Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and additional resources to support overall health and well-being. Responsibilities

As an Area Manager at Amazon, your day-to-day responsibilities will span both people leadership and hands-on operations. You’ll be the key link between your team of associates and the broader operational goals of the fulfillment centre, making decisions that directly affect safety, quality, and performance.

  • Lead and mentor 50–100 Amazon Associates, fostering a motivated and high-performing team culture
  • Monitor and manage team performance against safety, quality, attendance, and productivity targets
  • Operate independently in an autonomous environment, taking initiative and making sound operational decisions
  • Oversee truck deliveries, sort and handle packages, and operate pallet jacks and PIT equipment as needed
  • Work variable shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by business needs
  • Physically engage on the floor — standing and walking for shifts up to 12 hours, lifting up to 49 lbs, and performing tasks such as pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching
  • Ensure workplace safety standards are upheld at all times across all team activities

Requirements / Skills

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business/Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset
  • Valid work authorization in Canada without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Physical capability to perform warehouse duties including lifting, climbing, and extended periods of standing and walking
