Amazon Web Services (AWS) Canada is hiring an experienced Account Manager to support high-growth startups in the Toronto region. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about cloud innovation, the startup ecosystem, and building long-term relationships that accelerate business growth.
As an Account Manager, you’ll drive adoption of AWS services, engage with founders and executives, and help innovative startups scale their businesses using the world’s leading cloud platform.
About the Role: Account Manager, Startups
The Account Manager manages a portfolio of fast-growing startups, building strategic relationships and driving cloud adoption. You will develop territory and account plans, own the full sales cycle, and partner with AWS technical and business teams to deliver value beyond infrastructure.
This role requires strong business development skills, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the ability to influence C-level stakeholders while representing AWS as a trusted partner in the Canadian startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory and account strategies to drive AWS adoption among startups.
- Exceed revenue and non-revenue targets through effective prospecting and sales execution.
- Engage with Founders, CxOs, Board members, and venture capital stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal AWS teams across Solutions Architecture, Marketing, and Partners.
- Provide thought leadership by applying knowledge of industry trends such as AI/ML and startup funding.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term account growth.
- Travel as required to meet with customers and participate in events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of direct B2B field sales or business development experience in cloud, SaaS, or software.
- Proven success selling to C-level executives and driving new business in greenfield accounts.
- Experience using Salesforce or equivalent CRM tools.
- Preferred: Experience working with startups, accelerators, or incubators.
