Role of the Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate
As an Amazon Fresh Grocery Associate, your daily tasks will vary based on store needs, but may include:
- Customer Engagement: Greet customers, engage in friendly conversations, and assist with their shopping needs.
- Product Knowledge: Offer customers product recommendations and provide information to help them make informed decisions.
- Checkout Operations: Operate cash registers and assist customers in self-service checkout lanes.
- Return Processing: Receive and process in-store and Amazon.com returns.
- Fresh Food Preparation: Prepare fresh food items such as cold salads, pizzas, rotisserie chickens, and sandwiches.
- Store Presentation: Stock shelves, set up merchandise displays, and maintain a clean sales floor.
- Inventory Management: Unload product deliveries and organize the stockroom.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick items to fulfill customer grocery orders for pickup and delivery.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to understand and perform duties safely in English.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ year of customer service experience.
Working Conditions
This role requires the ability to lift up to 49 lbs, stand and/or walk for the duration of your shift (up to 8 hours), and work in varying environments, including refrigerated and freezer areas.
Compensation & Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position is $16.80/hour.
Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Full-time, part-time, and anytime shifts are available, with specific scheduling requirements based on store needs.
