About the Position: Vendor Manager, Canada Consumables Retail

As a Vendor Manager at Amazon Canada, you will own the end-to-end vendor relationship, from negotiations to performance management. You will use data-driven insights and customer obsession to devise innovative solutions that align with Amazon’s mission to be Earth’s most customer-centric company. Key Responsibilities

  • Define the vision and strategy: Establish the category’s North Star metrics and KPIs to measure results.
  • Manage P&L: Drive revenue growth and margin improvement through strategic initiatives.
  • Build vendor relationships: Negotiate terms and develop growth-focused strategies with vendors.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work with teams like Marketing, Engineering, Pricing, and Inventory Management to enhance vendor performance.
  • Dive deep into analytics: Identify opportunities for improvement in pricing, selection, and convenience.
  • Execute projects: Lead complex initiatives with clear frameworks and measurable outcomes.
  • Deliver unparalleled customer experience: Ensure customers benefit from a superior selection of products and services.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Excel, including advanced data manipulation.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, program management, or consulting, with a focus on negotiations and delivering measurable results.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/military experience.
  • Expertise in financial analysis and P&L ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large datasets to drive performance improvements.
  • Strong background in vendor negotiations, pricing strategy, inventory management, and product development.
