About the Role: Warehouse Associate – Forklift Operator
In this role, you’ll be responsible for keeping warehouse operations running smoothly — from coordinating outbound shipments to operating power equipment safely and efficiently. You’ll play a hands-on part in the day-to-day flow of one of Canada’s busiest logistics networks, using tools like RF scanners and participating in inventory management processes.

Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Associate and Forklift Operator at UPS Montreal, your day will involve a variety of operational tasks that keep the facility running at full capacity. From coordinating pickups to conducting inventory counts, every responsibility contributes directly to the efficiency and accuracy of UPS’s supply chain.
- Coordinate shipments by arranging pick-ups, contacting carriers for estimated times of arrival, and managing outbound scheduling
- Stage outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate dispatch of goods
- Operate power equipment safely, including forklifts and other warehouse machinery, following all safety protocols
- Use RF scanners to electronically scan barcodes and maintain accurate records of inventory movement
- Conduct inventory counts — physical inventory and cycle counts on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Promote workplace safety by encouraging safe practices, identifying areas in need of safety training, and participating on the CHSP committee
- Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure all machinery including counterbalances, doors, docks, and signal lights are in proper working order
