This is not a back-office technical role — it sits at the intersection of customer engagement, solution architecture, and product influence. You’ll be shaping how Canadian enterprise customers adopt and scale AWS analytics and AI/ML services, building reference architectures, leading technical discoveries, and feeding real customer insights back to AWS engineering and product teams.

About the Role: Sr. Analytics Specialist Solution Architect

As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS Data & AI services in the Canadian market, you’ll serve as the go-to technical advisor for customers working with six core AWS analytics services: Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue and AWS Glue Data Catalog, Amazon EMR, Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio and AWS Lakehouse architecture patterns, Amazon OpenSearch Service, and Amazon Kinesis / Amazon MSK for streaming workloads. The expectation is breadth knowledge (L200+) across all six, with depth knowledge (L300+) in at least two.

You’ll collaborate closely with Specialist Sales teams, Business Development, and other Solutions Architects across geographies to drive large-scale customer use cases. You’ll also produce white papers, blogs, reference implementations, and field enablement materials that help the broader SA community integrate AWS analytics into customer architectures. Feedback loops matter here — you’ll gather customer insights and translate them into actionable product requirements for AWS engineering teams.

  • Support pre-sales cycles through demos, proofs of concept, and technical proposals in partnership with specialist sellers and account solution architects

  • Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them integrate AWS analytics solutions into customer architectures
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and AWS analytics service teams to provide customer-driven product improvement feedback

  • Communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders and clients
  • 5+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
