About the Role

Key Accountabilities

  • Team Leadership: Coordinate technicians/contractors to complete work orders on time and to standard.
  • Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Build PM calendars; triage and resolve urgent repairs quickly.
  • Facility Management: Oversee electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and general building systems.
  • Budget & Inventory: Manage budgets, track costs, and maintain parts/tools stock levels.
  • Compliance & Safety: Execute inspections; enforce OHSA/local codes and company policies.
  • Vendor Management: Schedule and supervise third-party repairs, installs, and inspections.
  • Records & Reporting: Maintain CMMS/work orders, inspections, and status reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify process, energy, and cost-savings opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma; technical diploma/certification (Facilities, HVAC, Electrical) preferred.
  • Experience supervising maintenance/facilities in multi-site or retail environments.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
  • Construction project experience; construction PM an asset.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Safety standards (OHSA, local codes); CMMS proficiency; MS Office; SAP an asset.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented; able to respond after hours when required.
