As Senior Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for managing the P&L and setting the strategic direction for a large and diverse Hardlines business. You will work with highly strategic vendors to drive their business towards the next phase of growth.

About the role: Senior Vendor Manager

As Senior Vendor Manager, you will manage the P&L for a significant Hardlines segment, thinking strategically and executing tactically to expand and grow the online business. You will integrate analysis and merchandising instincts into a cohesive category strategy, staying on top of industry and competitive trends to drive selection, sales, and margin growth while enhancing customer experience.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with inventory management, site merchandising, marketing, PR, finance, operations, and software development teams to deliver innovation and a better customer experience. You will manage multiple priorities, projects, and partner relationships simultaneously, leveraging strong analytical acumen, negotiation experience, and project management skills.

Requirements / Skills

  • 5+ years of account management, project/program management, or buying experience
  • Experience using data to influence business decisions and manage P&L

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Strong analytical acumen; comfortable drawing metric-based conclusions
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and driving top- and bottom-line results
  • Project management and organizational skills to manage various vendors and strategic programs
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred: knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL; prior experience in retail buying, merchandising, or planning
