Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Manager, Accounting plays a leadership role in strengthening financial operations and driving process excellence across the finance function. This role ensures the accuracy and completeness of financial records while optimizing key accounting processes such as asset accounting, revenue recognition, vendor rebates, and payroll reconciliations.
The Senior Manager, Accounting ensures compliance with regulations and internal controls under NI 52-109, provides leadership to a team of two, and supports the design and implementation of end-to-end finance processes that enable continuous business growth.
About the role: Senior Manager, Accounting
In this role, you will oversee day-to-day general accounting operations, allocate responsibilities effectively, and identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve productivity. You will support an accurate, timely financial close process, review and analyze monthly results, and contribute to quarterly and annual financial statements, including monthly accruals, key provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
You will own asset accounting policies and procedures (capitalizations, disposals, amortization), govern management reporting master data (cost centers and internal orders), and deliver insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions (revenue program performance, profitability, and cost analysis by vendor, department, and special projects).
The role also leads process design for optimized financial and management reporting, oversees the accounting and forecasting for the corporate fleet, maintains 52-109 narratives and workflows, coordinates SOC reviews, supports audits, and partners with Payroll and IT on reconciliation integrity, filings, and payments.

Requirements / Skills
- CPA designation required; Big 4 audit experience (public accounting) required.
- 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience and 2+ years in management.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and NI 52-109 internal control framework.
- Strong aptitude for financial analysis and problem solving in high-volume data environments.
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence, and build relationships at all levels.
- Proficient with ERP systems; SAP experience is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French (English proficiency is essential for collaboration with partners based in Ontario).
