Responsibilities
This executive role carries broad accountability across privacy compliance, data governance, AI ethics, and regulatory engagement. - Prepare and present reports to senior leadership identifying compliance risks and securing operational support for Privacy Impact Assessments and AI risk assessments
- Partner with cross-functional leaders across Technology, Product, Digital, CRM, Legal, HR, and Health & Wellness to design and implement privacy and data handling systems and controls

Requirements / Skills

- 12–15 years of progressively senior experience in privacy, data protection, records management, data governance, or related disciplines
- Minimum 5 years as a Privacy Officer or leading a privacy compliance function at a large global organization
- Compliance leadership experience in IT, retail, health, e-commerce, or financial services is considered a strong asset
- IAPP certification (or similar professional privacy certification) is an asset
- Demonstrated experience designing, building, and leading privacy compliance and Enterprise Risk Management frameworks
- Strong knowledge of Canadian privacy laws and best-in-class international privacy frameworks, including privacy-by-design principles
- Proven experience developing enterprise-wide records retention and information management frameworks
- Ability to manage complex projects and influence a broad range of internal and external stakeholders at the executive level
- Experience leading high-performing teams of subject matter experts in a compliance or legal function
