Seasonal Courier – FedEx – Mississauga, ON

FedEx Canada is hiring a Seasonal Courier for its Mississauga location (2190 Derry Road East). This is a part-time, temporary position of up to 12 weeks where you’ll play an essential role in ensuring safe, efficient, and on-time delivery of packages while providing excellent customer service.

About the Role: Seasonal Courier

The Seasonal Courier is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of packages on an assigned route. You will check shipments for service compliance, plan routes for efficient delivery, and represent FedEx in a professional manner while maintaining a clean appearance. This role also includes operating scanning systems, handling shipping materials, and providing courteous service to customers.

Additional tasks may include loading/unloading, sorting, and scanning of packages, as well as assisting with aircraft or container operations depending on workload and location. Seasonal Couriers may also identify potential business opportunities and relay leads to the sales department.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and efficient package delivery and pick-up services on an assigned route.
• Load vans, plan routes, and operate vehicles safely while following government regulations.
• Ensure packages are labeled and documented correctly; maintain shipping supplies.
• Use computerized tracking and dispatch systems to input accurate information.
• Respond to customer inquiries about FedEx services and ensure professional communication.
• Support package handling, loading/unloading, and scanning as required.
• Seek potential business leads and inform sales teams of opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; customer service experience is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual (French and English) required for Quebec positions.
