About the Role: Ramp Agent
As a Ramp Agent, your primary focus will be on the physical movement of packages through UPS facilities. You’ll be loading and unloading trailers and package cars, scanning and sorting shipments, and ensuring that packages are stocked and handled according to UPS standards. Responsibilities
Working as a Ramp Agent at UPS means being a critical link in the package delivery chain. Every task you complete — from scanning to loading — directly impacts delivery timelines and customer satisfaction across Canada and beyond.
- Learn and execute UPS package handling methods in compliance with company standards
- Load and unload UPS packages into trailers and package cars efficiently and safely
- Scan and sort packages accurately to ensure correct routing and delivery
- Stock packages and manage inventory flow within the warehouse or ramp environment
- Operate heavy machinery as required to complete assigned tasks
- Perform additional tasks as assigned in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Requirements / Skills
UPS is looking for a candidate who is physically capable, detail-oriented, and holds the necessary credentials to work in an airport ramp environment. Prior warehouse experience is an asset, and the right person will be comfortable working consistent weekday shifts.
- Physical capability to lift up to 70 lbs. / 32 kgs. regularly
- Valid Red RAIC or proof of residing in Canada for at least 5 years
- Class 5 driver’s licence is required
- DA or DAW preferred without suspension
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes for accurate package sorting
- Flexible availability to work up to 5 days per week, with shifts starting at 1530hrs Monday to Friday
- Warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory
