Produce Stocker – Walmart – St. Thomas, ON

Walmart’s St. Thomas location on Talbot Street is looking for a Produce Stocker to join their in-store team. This is a hands-on retail role where you’ll keep the produce department stocked, zoned, and looking its best while delivering a great experience for every customer who walks through the door.

About the Role: Produce Stocker

As a Produce Stocker at Walmart Canada, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the produce section of the store — from stocking and zoning merchandise to ensuring all products are properly signed and priced. You’ll follow established procedures for ordering, markdowns, and labelling, and make sure the department is fully stocked and ready for business at all times.

A key part of this position involves adhering to food safety and handling standards, including cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and product rotation procedures. You’ll also follow Health and Safety guidelines throughout every shift, contributing to a safe and clean environment for both customers and colleagues.

Benefits and Salary

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts at $18.05 per hour. Responsibilities

Working as a Produce Stocker at Walmart means taking ownership of the department’s appearance, inventory, and compliance standards every shift. From stocking shelves to following food safety protocols, every task you complete contributes directly to a positive shopping experience for customers.

• Zone the department to maintain a neat, organized, and shoppable produce section at all times
• Rotate stock and check for expired or near-expiry products, removing them from shelves as required
• Ensure merchandise is properly signed and priced according to store standards
• Adhere to cold chain compliance standards including thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, and proper product rotation
• Follow food safety and handling procedures along with all sanitation and cleaning requirements
• Process ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and proper signing, flagging, pricing, and labelling procedures
• Stock merchandise and downstock as applicable; apply product protection and complete modulars including flex modulars and new shelf caps
• Follow Health and Safety guidelines throughout every shift to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers
