Principal Architect III, FSI – Google – Toronto, ON
Location: Toronto, ON | Company: Google
If you’re a seasoned enterprise architect with deep roots in the financial services industry, Google Cloud is looking for someone like you to join their team in Toronto, Ontario. As a Principal Architect III for FSI (Financial Services Industry), you’ll operate at the intersection of technical leadership and strategic business advisory — helping some of Canada’s most critical financial institutions navigate their journey to the cloud.
This is far more than a traditional architecture role. You’ll be embedded in the Customer Development organization, working side-by-side with sales teams, product managers, and executive stakeholders to design and champion enterprise cloud strategies that deliver genuine business transformation. Expect a dynamic blend of deep technical problem-solving and boardroom-level influence.
About the Role: Principal Architect III, FSI
As a Solutions Architect within Google Cloud’s Customer Development organization, you’ll serve as the bridge between Google Cloud’s technology ecosystem and the complex needs of enterprise clients in financial services. Your mandate is to lead cross-functional expert teams in helping customers design, plan, implement, and govern their cloud strategies from the ground up. The role carries executive-level expectations — you’ll be leading conversations with CTOs, CIOs, and VPs, not just participating in them.
Collaboration is central to this position. You’ll partner heavily with value development teams to articulate the total business value of technical solutions, and you’ll coordinate with specialists, product management, and technical teams to manage holistic enterprise architecture relationships. Occasional travel to customer sites, conferences, and industry events is part of the role.
